Dream's Item !!!

Have you ever thought to what would you buy if you'd ever win the lottery?
Have you ever thought to what would you buy if you'd find a really good job after a year worthy of hard sweating?
I always thought of some very good pc, but due to the nature of the good, with the frequent upgrades 'n stuffs I never managed to shape it concretely.
Since a few days ago I finally can shape, and name it: The Emperor 200.

You can look it here:
and read the complete specs here:

Even without considering the uber specs of the pc compounded, what really makes you giggle is the awesomeness of the "chair" as a whole. Something I personally thought it would exist only in Sci-fi Anime/Manga/Movies.
You practically got there everything you'd ever need when you plan on staying at a pc. You'd stay into your own little world made of pure fresh air, colored led lightning, and absolute comfort. (The seating is so spacious you could even think on using it to do lewd things <3)
It's absolutely fabulous how a PS3 is listed as if it was just your everyday teethbrush :P

It costs quite a bit (around 40k USD) , but I'll definitely make it mine a day!

Since we're talking about chairs, a little, funny extra:

A rough 2 weeks

Phew! As the title says, last 2 weeks haven't been that easy cake at all.
Mainly due to two test / exams I've had at university. While for the first one I've received already a positive result (I was mainly concerned about it), I've sustained the second one last friday, but, without wanting to be too full of myself, I don't need to wait the results for this one to know I passed brillantly (it was related to Unix programming afterall). It takes a lot of energies to attend lessons, work on projects and prepare for tests altogether, but yah, we finally went through it.
The fact I was doing all this with my mates Angelo and Mario helped to ease the pression (It's always nice to interleave the study sessions with some tea (coffee for them) and some chatting), especially when I didn't have some sleepy & lazy but cute eyes watching over me during the long nights of coding/scripting.

But the last 2 weeks haven't only been about studying.
Omitting IT related facts ( Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx release, upgrade to it guys! ), or the little gift I made to myself (Yay for my PSP \o/ )
Particularly It's nice to talk again with Tay, to whom I wish Good Luck for her new adventure, and I hope we'll manage to get on track again as we were in the past. Maybe even to play a game together from the start :P .
And I'm happy to meet up again Simo after almost a long year. We had a whole lot of fizzy fun the other day even though we had to give up the Sangria plan in favor of some fine Red Wine and giant burgers (Mine was (don't get too scared guys) Hamburger, Wurstels, Sausage, Provola (it's a bit like mozzarella) , Mushrooms (the little round cute kinds of), Pepperoni, Mayonnaise). We even had Karaoke (well she was singing, I just waved the lighter on the background, we even got a video, maaaaaaaaaaaybe we'll upload it). It was a ton fun: let's do it again! :)

On a side note there was also an incident revolving around a deplorable & despicable person in our group, that finally showed out her true colors to everyone. But this is another story, and I'll tell you another time.

Last moments of today

The day's almost done, lights are feeble now, the hour is late.
A few breaths are left to my time, tomorrow will be rough.
A subtle breeze calls me to the open.
Through an half opened window I try to catch a glimpse of the moon hidden in this cloudy sky.
No moon or stars offer themselves to the sight it seems, but from the plumbeous roof a drop wets my arm. I offer my face to the rain, as if it could wash away my tiredness.
It's not not fast, it's not slow, irregularly rushing over.
But it's fresh, water and wind over my skin. It's a relief.

And out of the blue, I find myself thinking of you.
You that like a rain drop burst on my lips,
You that like the wind caress my cheek.
You that like a rain drop slip through my fingers,
You that like the wind can't be touched by my hands.
Like they put me at ease, will you lull my mind to serenity?
Like they called me to the window, will you call my name even in your dreams?

My time's breaths are no more, tomorrow will be rough.

Today...

Man was born with both a mind and an heart. Such a cruel fate I'd say.
Man was born with both reason and feelings. Destined to fight all the time.
Most of the people have a side larger than the other.
I don't know how should I consider myself, I just know both of them fight inside me, attempting to sway the rival.
Maybe my coldness, my roughness, is a facade, a gelid facade to cover my flamboyant emotionality.

There may be times in which I don't want to think about what's so dear to me to hurt like glass chippings stabbing deep into my palm. I'd lick that blood to forget about what I carry inside, about what kept me going so far. But I would never regret what I've done, because if I did, it was enough important to me to travel even to hell and come back.

But leave me be today... today I don't want to think about anything... today... is one of those moments...

"E poi viene quell'attimo in cui vorrei solo abbracciarti forte e non pensare a nulla"

Today is one of those days in which if only I could have you with me, I wouldn't care if time would freeze or flow ahead for all the eternity.
Today is one of those days in which if only I could smell your scent, I wouldn't care if the sky will burst, or the sun will burn.
Today is one of those days in which if only I could feel your heart beating near mine, I wouldn't care if this world would end today.

My 24th Bday Party

This cake is the one for my bday party (yush, my mom baked it <3 )
So yea, I turned 24 last 13th April, and I've had my bday party on the 17th.
I've had quite some fun last night with my pals, but I really wished some of my other friends from across the world, could've been there with us. In the past years I've spent on the net, I managed to meet awesome people, and even though I can talk to them everyday, I'd love to chat with them face to face with a good pizza in the middle; it's one of my future goals to meet most of them.

Other than that, for me, my bday is one of those moments of the year in which I feel to balance my life. I have to say things are going good so far. University is going great, especially in the exam's window that just ended. I've got some good work's projects coming. I have some great friends with me, some I've always had but I've rediscovered lately (btw Thanks for the video Pan :) ), and some that have always been with me no matter what. There still are some friendships I'd like to recover because they've been dear to me, and a major dangling situation that I have to resolve, because it's really important to me.

Anyways, Thanks to all for the greetings (my Facebook profile got literally flooded this year :P ), and I hope to share my cake with you all next year !!!

A feeble ruth

It was a while I didn't write a poem. At least in English. I usually end up writing when I feel flooded of emotions and mostly at night. I came back at home tonight, and for a couple of reasons, my chest feels tight tonight. So here's something that allowed me to not burst.

A feeble ruth

Tell me: How much is worth a dream?
Tell me: How much is worth my smile?
I've been draggin' myself for a while
into a ravine with barely any gleam.

The restless try to glimpse a pale light
that day after day doesn't get more bright:
I don't know if you can call it tenderly pure
or you should label it as crudely immature.

I hear from the deep oceans a feeble ruth
through the quiet wind whispers its truth:

"It's written up in the sky
you can love till you die,
But no man should ever die
waitin' to be loved maybe a day"

Manga Reader !!!

If you like manga like I do, you will surely have a conspicuous collection in your room.
But, sadly, sometimes there are certain series that for a reason or another doesn't reach your country (or even though they do, they are so not updated that you get bombed by spoilers around the net). So everyone of us soon or later ended reading or downloading mangas from the net.
Of course, being used to read the real thing it can be a bit awkward to stare a monitor... where sometimes the page wont load, the text is too small, it's annoying to change the folders after each chapter or it's tiring to browse websites to find the latest chapter.
To solve this, there are some software that can help us. Among the many, the one that I mostly love so far is Manga Reader.

Some of its features:

Online Manga Explorer

11.png

The Online Manga Explorer allows you to browse online mangas available from community sites such as www.onemanga.com , www.mangavolume.com or www.mangafox.com.

To quickly find the manga you are interested in, use the search box in the upper right corner. The list of mangas displayed will be filtered as you type.

Manual Page Flip

13.png

To manually flip pages, move the mouse to any of the four corners of the “virtual book”. When the page begins to flip as illustrated on the right, click and drag the page to the other half of the book.

Interactive Zoom

14.png

The zoom feature of Manga Reader is interactive, and allows you zoom into mangas without losing the ability to flip pages.

To zoom in, you can use the mouse wheel or the zoom slider displayed in the title bar.

Zoomed Panning - When zoomed in, instead of using the mouse to navigate, you can continuously press Space or Enter to move the view to the next section of unread content. Similarly, you can press Shift- Space or Shift-Enter to move to the previous section.

Settings Window

12-cropped.png

The settings window allows you to customize your reading experience. Here is description of all the parameters available:

Display Mode - You can read mangas by having two pages displayed on the screen (Double Page Mode), or having the focus on one page which is displayed in the center of the screen (Single Page Mode).

Page Flip Direction - You can choose to read mangas by flipping pages from right to left or left to right (Japanese mode).

In Page Flow - This setting allows you to choose the flow direction within a single page. Mangas are typically read from right to left within a page, whereas American comic books follow the left to right mode.

Remember Manga - This setting allows you to choose whether Manga Reader should open the last manga read at startup. This allows you to get back to the manga you were reading before you closed the program. Manga Reader also remembers the page you were at.
